Collagens are highly conserved across species and are vital in the formation of connective tissues. Collagen III is found in most soft connective tissues along with Collagen I. Defects in collagen III are associated with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type 3 and type 4 and with aortic aneurysm abdominal (AAA). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, ELISA and Dot Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:20 if Peroxidasae labeled secondary is used. If FITC is used dilute 1:10. Not tested on paraffin. ELISA: Native human collagen III Dot Blot: Native human collagen III Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. IHC Positive Control: Human kidney, liver, skin, heart Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with 1ml ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
