Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, ELISA and Dot Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:20 if Peroxidasae labeled secondary is used. If FITC is used dilute 1:10. Not tested on paraffin. ELISA: Native human collagen II Dot Blot: Native human collagen II Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. IHC Positive Control: Human kidney, liver, skin, heart Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with 1ml ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Additional info: Recognizes human Collagen II. Minimal crossreactions with other collagens were only found if 5-10 times higher concentrations were used of other collagens. Does not react with fibronectin, fibrinogen or laminin.
