Collagen type II is found mostly throughout cartilage matrix and also in very small amounts in the eye. This antibody will help detect collagen type II distribution and does not cross-react with collagen types I, III, IV, V, VI, serum proteins, or non-collagenous extracellular associ- ated proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:15-1:30 for 1 hr. at RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Chondrosarcoma (cytoplasmic staining pattern) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
