Collagen Type III

Molecular composition: [a1(III)]3 , native triple helix. Dissolved collagen retains the ability to form microfibrils, activate platelet aggregation and serve as a substrate for cell growth in culture\n\nCollagen was extracted from washed, dissected tissue into dilute acetic acid after mild pepsin treatment. Collagen type III was purified using differential salt precipitation.\n\nContaminants: Contains >10% bovine collagen type I and >0.5% non-collagen proteins\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding 0.5M acetic acid and store at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C.
