Complement C1q, Human

Human C1q produced in Human plasma having a molecular mass of 410kD. The C1 component of complement is a complex of 2 C1q sub-units and a tetramer comprising 2 C1r and 2 C1s sub-units. C1 activation is regulated by an inhibitor (C1 inhibitor). Reductions in the levels of components C3, C4, C1 and C2 can be associated with glomerular disease, endocarditis and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).\n\nStorage and Stability: \nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
