C3b (C3c+C3d) has a molecular weight of 170000. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoelectrophoresis and Radial Immunodiffusion. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunoelectrophoresis: 120ul against 2ul human plasma or equivalent. Double Radial Immunodiffusion: Use a rosette arrangement with 10ul in 3mm diameter center well and 2ul plasma samples (neat and serially diluted) in 2mm diameter peripheral wells. Single Radial Immunodiffusion: 1% in gel Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion against human plasma a single precipitin line is obtained and shows a reaction of full identity with the purified immunogen.
