Connexin 30

The connexin gene family codes for the protein subunits of gap junction channels, which mediate the direct diffusion of ions and metabolites between the cytoplasm of adjacent cells. The gap junction channels have unique properties depending on the type of connexins constituting the channel.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: 0.1-1ug/ml\nWestern Blot: 1-3ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections): 1-5ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Recognizes mouse Connexin 30. Crossreactivity with the highly related Connexin 26 protein or with other Connexin family members has not been detected. Species Crossreactivity (confirmed by Western Blot using brain cell lysates): human, feline and rat.
