Copine 6 belongs to the copine family and contains two C2 domains and one von Willebrand factor A domain. The unprocessed precursor has a length of 557 amino acids and a predicted molecular weight of 62KD. This protein exhibits calcium-dependent phospholipid binding properties and is thought to function in membrane trafficking and in synaptic plasticity. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
