Jun activation domain-binding protein-1 (JAB1) also designated as COP9 subunits 5 (COPS5) or SGN5, is a co-activator of AP-1 transcription factor that promotes degradation of the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p27Kip1. JAB1 interacts with c-Jun AP-1 containing complexes, and enhances transactivation from AP-1-dependent promoters. JAB1 is highly conserved in evolution and is widely expressed in mammalian tissues. It is localized in both the nucleus and the cytoplasm.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2h at RT
Immunohistochemistry: 1:200 for 30min at RT
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10min followed by cooling at RT for 20min
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:
Breast carcinoma
