CPVL (Probable Serine Carboxypeptidase CPVL, Carboxypeptidase, Vitellogenic-like, Vitellogenic Carboxypeptidase-like Protein, VCP-like protein, hVLP, VLP, PSEC0124, UNQ197/PRO223)

Probable serine carboxypeptidase CPVL is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CPVL gene.[1][2] The protein encoded by this gene is a carboxypeptidase and bears strong sequence similarity to serine carboxypeptidases. Carboxypeptidases are a large class of proteases that act to cleave a single amino acid from the carboxy termini of proteins or peptides. The exact function of this protein, however, has not been determined. At least two alternatively spliced transcripts which encode the same protein have been observed.[2]\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunofluorescence: 10ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
