CRA is a 640aa receptor membrane tyrosine phosphatase belonging to the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family and non-receptor class myotubularin subfamily. It has a gram domain, a myotubularin-related domain and a tyrosine-protein phosphatase domain. It may be a tyrosine-phosphatase with D3-phosphorylated inositol phospholipids as principal physiological substrate. They play an integral role in a diverse array of cellular signaling processes and also an important role in the etiology of cancer and other human diseases. It is widely expressed in most of the tissues.
