The transcription factor cAMP response element binding (CREB) binds the palindromic octanucleotide TGACGTCA. Members of ATF/CREB family include CREB-1, CREB-2 (also designated ATF-4), ATF-1, ATF-2 and ATF-3. These proteins share highly conserved leucine zipper dimerization and basic DNA binding domains at the COOH terminal but are highly divergent in their amino terminal domains. CREB-mediated transcription regulates diverse cellular responses, including intermediary metabolism, neuronal signaling, cell proliferation, and apoptosis.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Indirect ELISA: coating quantity is 1ug/ml of peptide/or peptide conjugate in pH 9.5 carbonate buffer, 100ul/well.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile ddH2O, PBS, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
