CREB1 (Cyclic AMP-responsive Element-binding Protein 1, CREB-1, cAMP-responsive Element-binding Protein 1)

CREB (cAMP response element binding protein1), a DNA binding protein, is a member of the leucine zipper family of transcription factors. CREB interaction with DNA requires phosphorylation at Ser 119 by activated cAMP protein kinase A. Once phosphorylated CREB binds to an 8 base enhancer know as the cAMP response element (CRE) containing a conserved core sequence TGACG. CREB also interacts with CBP (CREB binding protein) and RNA polymerase II when phosphorylated on Ser 133. Different isoforms of this protein are the result of two transcript variants.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1:500-1:1000\nImmunofluorescence: 10ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
