Alpha B Crystallin is expressed in a number of normal tissues including muscle, neural and epithelial tissues and in various carcinomas such as renal cell carcinoma. The protein is also found in Lewy bodies and implicated in Lewy body dementia. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:250-1:500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:80-1:160 for 1 hr. at RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Western Blot: Brain Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin Antigen unmasking) (Frozen Acetone fixation): Kidney Cytoplasmic staining pattern Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
