C-terminal Src kinase (Csk) is a non-receptor protein tyrosine kinase. One of its major functions is to specifically phosphorylate a conserved C-terminal tyrosine of Src family kinases thereby down-regulating their kinase activity. CSK is expressed ubiquitously as a protein of approximately 50kD in cytosol, but a fraction distributes to lipid rafts due to interaction with the lipid raft-associated protein PAG (Csk-binding protein).
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:250-1:50 Weak non-specific band of 60kD is detected in human cell lines at lower antibody dilutions.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
