COP9 signalosome is a conserved protein composed of eight subunits. Individual subunits of the complex have been linked to various signal transduction pathways leading to gene expression and cell cycle control.
CSN1 is the COP9 subunit 1. The C-terminus of CSN1 is responsible for interacting with CSN2, CSN3, and CSN4 subunits. It is required for incorporation of the subunit into the complex. The N-terminus harbors the activity domain that confers most of the repression functions of CSN1.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
