CTGF (Connective Tissue Growth Factor, CCN2, Hcs24, Hypertrophic chondrocyte-specific Gene Product 24, IGFBP8, Insulin-like Growth Factor-Binding Protein 8)

CTGF (connective tissue growth factor) is a 38 kD, cysteine-rich, secreted peptide. It is a new member of the peptide family that include seruminduced immediate early gene products, a v-src-induced peptide, and a putative proto-oncogene. Among the many functions of the CTGF gene family are embryogenesis, wound healing, and regulation of extracellular matrix production.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1:5000\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
