CtIP (CtBP-interacting protein or RBBP-8) is a BRCA1- and CtBP-interacting protein that may modulate the functions ascribed to BRCA1 in transcriptional regulation, DNA repair, and/or cell cycle checkpoint control. Located predominantly in the nucleus, CtIP interacts with CTBP, with the C-terminal (BRCT) domains of BRCA1, and with the retinoblastoma protein. CtIP is phosphorylated upon DNA damage, probably by ATM or ATR, and is ubiquitinated by SIAH1, leading to its subsequent proteasomal degradation. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: U2OS cell lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
