CTRP6 is an adipokine; proteins which are thought to act mainly on liver and muscle tissue to control glucose and lipid metabolism.
CTRP6 is highly post-translationally modified, containing at least 4 glycosylation motifs. It has a predicted molecular weight of 29kD, and an observed molecular weight of 42kD.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (frozen) and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 10ug/ml
Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
