CTRP6 (C1qTNF-related protein 6) belongs to a highly conserved family of adiponectin paralogs. CTRP6 mediates activation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) in skeletal muscle cells, thereby regulating glucose and lipid metabolism. Mediates the phosphorylation of acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC).
Sequence:
Signal peptide and human CTRP6 (aa 1-278) are fused at the C-terminus with a FLAG(R)-tag.
Storage and Stability:
Short-term Storage: +4 degrees C
Long-term Storage: -20 degrees C
Working aliquots are stable for up to 3 months when stored at -20 degrees C.
