CTRP9 belongs to a highly conserved family of adiponectin paralogs. It activates AMPK, AKT and p44/42 MAPK signaling pathways. Expressed predominantly in adipose tissue. Females express higher levels than males. Overexpression of CTRP9 in obese (ob/ob) mice significantly lowered serum glucose levels.
Sequence:
Human CTRP9 (aa 20-333) is fused at the N-terminus to a His-tag.
Storage and Stability:
Short-term Storage: +4 degrees C
Long-term Storage: -20 degrees C
Working aliquots are stable for up to 3 months when stored at -20 degrees C.
