Chicken IgY: It's Evolutionary!\nChicken antibodies offer advantages over traditional rabbit and goat polyclonal antibodies due to the evolutionary difference between these immunoglobulins. Chickens give better antibody response against conserved mammalian antigens, they do not react with rheumatoid factors, bacterial or mammalian Fc receptors and can reduce background reactions due to cross-reactivity of anti-IgG antibodies.\n\nWe can supply high specificity anti-IgY secondary reagents against the following conjugates: Alkaline Phosphatase (AP), Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP), Fluorescein (FITC), allowing suitability for ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Gel Mobility Shift assays.\n\nPerfect for Immunodiagnostics and Kits due to the high yield compared to rabbits. One egg is capable of producing up to 80mg of antibody!\n\nStandard Chicken Protocol\nStandard protocol pricing includes animal purchase, housing and care, all immunizations and bleeds and exsaguination as per the following schedule:\n\nDay X Pre-immunization bleed (eggs can be collected, too)\nDay 0 1st Immunization, Freund's complete adjuvant, 50-100ug\nDay 21 2nd Immunization (Booster), incomplete adjuvant, 50ug\nDay 42 3rd Immunization (Booster), incomplete adjuvant, 50ug\nDay 49 Test bleed & Start of egg collection.\n\nEggs should provide about 50 to100 mg of Ig per yolk\n\nHens will lay approximately 1 egg per day while on the nest. Hens can go off the nest for several days, hence we recommend 2 or more hens for continued production.\n\nWe will require a minimum of 500ug of antigen per hen.
