Cat no: C8350-09

CXCR4 (Fusin, LESTR, HUMSTR, C-X-C Chemokine Receptor 4, CD184) (PE)

The G-protein-linked seven transmembrane spanning chemokine receptor CXCR4 (also known as fusin or LESTR) binds stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1)/CXCL12. CXCR4 also acts as a co-factor for the T-cell tropic HIV-1 and -2 virus entry into cells. In the mouse, two CXCR4 isoforms are generated by alternative splicing resulting in two receptors that differ only in two added amino acids in the N-terminus of the longer CXCR4B protein. The shorter CXCR4A protein is the homolog of human CXCR4. Differential expression of the two isoforms has been reported in lymphoid tissues and brain. Expression of CXCR4 is detected very early in thymocyte differentiation and on double positive thymocytes. In contrast to human CXCR4, mitogenic stimulation leads to the increased expression of CXCR4 on mouse T cells.\n\nApplications:\nSutiable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nFlow Cytometry: 10ul labels 1x10e5 cells\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable for 12 months at 4 degrees C. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
