CYB561D2 (cytochrome b561 domain-containing protein 2), also known as putative tumor suppressor protein 101F6, is a 222 amino acid highly hydropho- bic protein that contains six membrane spanning domains. Localized to endo- somes and endoplasmic reticulum of the perinuclear region, CYB561D2 con- tains 2 heme-binding sites, through which it reduces ferric ions. CYB561D2 is ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels in lung, liver and kidney. Though expression of CYB561D2 is abundant in normal lung bronchial epithileal cells, CYB561D2 is absent in most lung cancers.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
