Regulated progression through the cell cycle requires sequential expression of a family of proteins called cyclins. Upon their induction, cyclins form complexes with specific cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), creating active holoenzymes that phosphorylate target proteins required for cell-cycle progression. Cyclin A2 (ccna2) is involved in cell cycle control in the S and M phases. One study demonstrated that Cyclin A2 is necessary for visual system development and function. Within humans, Cyclin A is complexed with CDK2 and is a crucial element during S and G2/M phases of the cell cycle, although the mechanism of regulation is not well understood. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:5000-1:20,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control Peptide: C8452-72P Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
