Cyclin B1 is a regulatory protein involved in mitosis. It complexes with p34(cdc2) to form the maturation-promoting factor (MPF). Two alternative transcripts have been found for the gene encoding this protein, a constitutively expressed transcript and a cell cycle-regulated transcript, that is expressed predominantly during G2/M phase. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -70 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.\n\nImportant note: This recombinant enzyme has NOT been tested with regard to biological activity.
