CYR61 is a cysteine-rich, heparin-binding, growth factor belonging to the CCN family of secreted regulatory proteins. It stimulates chondrogensis and angiogenesis, playing an important role in cartilage and bone formation, as well as tumor growth and vascularization.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:100
Western Blot (ECL): 1:200. A band can be seen at ~37kD representing the processed form of CYR61 protein.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control:
MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell lysate
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
