Cytokeratin 18, Multiepitope Cocktail

Applications: \nSuitable for use in Immunoblot (Western) and Immunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin-embedded tissue and cytological material).\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry: Ready-to-use; Incubation Time 1hr at RT, extended with paraffin sections (overnight at 2-8 degrees C).\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20 degrees C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Species Crossreactivity: Human (most mammals incl. mouse, rat, sheep) bovine, porcine, canine, hamster); fish (trout). Reactivities on Cultured HeLa and MCF-7. The antibody cocktail represents an excellent marker to discriminate simple epithelia from those of different origin. Tumors specifically detected: all adenocarcinoma; mammary carcinoma, urinary bladder carcinoma, undifferentiated carcinoma, cervix carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma. Polypeptide reacting: Mr 45 000 polypeptide (human and bovine cytokeratin 18) of all simple type epithelia and basal cells of many squamous, nonepidermal epithelia.
