Tumors Specifically Detected: All tested adenocarcinoma; cholangio carcinoma of liver; renal cell carcinoma; transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder; ovary carcinoma; squamous cell carcinoma of cervix, bronchus and lung (intermediate type); mesothelioma; carcinoid tumor of bronchus; breast carcinoma and thymoma. Represents an excellent marker to discriminate glandular epithelial carcinoma from those of different origin. No reaction with hepatocellular carcinoma.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nImmunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:10 with PBS, pH 7.4. Incubate for 1 hr at RT.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Recognizes human Cytokeratin 19 at ~40kD on human glandular epithelia. Species Crossreactivity: rat, fish, bovine, rabbit. Does not react with mouse, woodchuck, chicken or Xenopus. Reactive with cultured cell lines: MCF-7, RT 112, Detroit 562, RPMI 2650, HT-29 and SSC-12. Detected Cytokeratin 19 in cholangio carcinoma of liver, renal cell carcinoma, transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder, ovary carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma of cervix, bronchus and lung (intermediate type), mesothelioma, carcinoid tumor of bronchus, breast carcinoma and thymoma.
