Cytokeratin 7

Represents an excellent marker for the discrimination of specific subtypes of adenocarcinoma: e.g. adenocarcinoma of pancreas, bile duct carcinoma and transitional carcinoma of bladder are stained, whereas colorectal, hepatocellular and prostate carcinomas are negative. Detects specific subtypes of adenocarcinomas: Adenocarcimona of pancreas, gallbladder, lung, cervix; cholangio carcinoma of liver; ductal and lobular carcinoma of breast; carcinomas of ovary; transitional cell carcinoma of bladder; mesothelioma; negative with colorectal adeno carcinoma and most cases of hepatocellular carcinoma. Occasionally, staining of blood vessel walls, particularly of endothelial cells may be observed.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot and with Cytological Material. Other applications not tetsed.\n\nRecommended Dilutions: \nImmunohistochemistry (Frozen and Paraffin): 1:50 Dilute with PBS, pH 7.4; Incubation Time 1h at RT, extended with paraffin sections (overnight at 4 degrees C). Protease pretreatment is recommended with paraffin sections prior to antibody application.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
