Dab2 (Disabled homolog 2, Diabled-2) is a mammalian structural homolog of Drosophila Disabled protein and a mitogen-responsive phosphoprotein (1). As a component of the CSF1 signal transduction pathway, Dab2 is normally expressed in ovarian epithelia cells. However, in ovarian carcinoma, Dab2 expression is either lost or down-regulated. Therefore, Dab2 is speculated to be a negative regulator of growth and its down-regulation considered to play critical role in ovarian carcinogenesis (2). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:2000-10,000 Immunocytochemistry: 1:100-250 Immunoprecipitation: 1:20 Flow Cytometry: 1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Manufactured incorporating RabMAb(R) technology under Epitomics US patents, No 5,675,063 and 7,429,487, owned by Abcam.
