Desmin are class-III intermediate filaments expressed in smooth, cardiac and heart muscles. Desmin homopolymers form a stable fibrous network connecting myofibrils to each other and to the plasma membrane. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2-4ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
