The DISC1 protein is widely expressed in normal tissues. It is involved in neurite outgrowth and cortical development through its interaction with a variety of proteins including lissencephaly-1 (LIS1), NudeE- like (NUDEL) and phosphodiesterase 4B. DISC1 has been associated with the risk of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depression and Asperger syndrome.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Human Brain (Hippocampus) lysate
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
