Inactivation of tumor suppressor genes is a key component of the development of all common forms of human cancers. Aberrant methylation may contribute to many of the changes, both physiological and pathological, associated with aging, including tumor development. Hypermethylation of CpG island-containing promoters is associated with the inactivation of genes important to tumor angiogenesis and progression. DNA methytransferase (DNMT1) is necessary for the maintenance of the methylation process.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
