DNA PK, Catalytic Subunit (DNA-dependent Protein Kinase)

Cat no: D3949-01H

DNA PK, Catalytic Subunit (DNA-dependent Protein Kinase)

DNA-protein kinase catalytic subunit (DNA-PKcs) also known as DNA-activated kinase is a nuclear 460-470kD serine threonine kinase involved in double-stranded DNA break repair, VDJ recombination, and transcriptional modulation. DNA-PKcs must bind DNA ends to become active. DNA-PKcs is modified by phosphorylation and has been shown to interact with Ku70/Ku80, KIP, DNA-ligase IV, and XRCC4 proteins. Phosphorylated DNA-PKcs is upregulated after DNA damage.\n\nCellular Localization: Nuclear\n\nPositive Control: LS174T cells. Tonsil.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry (Fr) (paraffin-embedded sections). Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
