DNA polymerase beta comprises an amino-terminal 8kD domain and a carboxy-terminal 31kD domain. DNA Polymerase beta, a DNA repair polymerase, is constitutively expressed in cultured cells. DNA polymerase beta fills single nucleotide gaps in DNA produced by the base excision repair pathway of mammalian cells.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin-embedded sections). Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:50 using ABC method. Incubate for 30 mins. at RT. Formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Cellular Localization: Nuclear
Positive Control: Testis
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
