Docking proteins interact with receptor tyrosine kinase to mediate particular biological responses. DOK1 is a major substrate for a range of tyrosine kinases including c-kit, v-abl, v-Fms, v-Src along with activated EGF, PDGF, IGF, VEGF and insulin receptors. Research indicates that DOK1 is a negative regulator of the insulin signalling pathway. Dok1 is expressed in a range of human tissues including the pancreas, heart and spleen, it is also expressed by both resting and activated peripheral blood T-cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry (frozen) and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 2ug/ml Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
