Dopamine Receptor, D1b (D5)

DRD5 (DRD5, dopamine receptor D5, DBDR, DRD1B, DRD1L2, MGC10601, D1beta dopamine receptor, dopamine receptor D1B,) is directed against targets that have limited or no commercial antibodies available to them and for which there are no data on the expression of the protein in the range of common cell lines and tissues. These antibodies are affinity purified using their peptide immunogen and are known to give low background staining in a western blot. However no additional claims are made for their ability to recognize native protein in any application.\nThis gene encodes the D5 subtype of the dopamine receptor. The D5 subtype is a G-protein coupled receptor which stimulates adenylyl cyclase. This receptor is expressed in neurons in the limbic regions of the brain. It has a 10-fold higher affinity for dopamine than the D1 subtype. Pseudogenes related to this gene reside on chromosomes 1 and 2.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions: \nWestern Blot: 1:250-1:500 on mouse brain lysate (unboiled sample)\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
