Cat no: D4012-02

DR3, ED (Wsl-1, Apo-3, TRAMP, LARD1-5, Death Receptor3)

Apoptosis, or programmed cell death, occurs during normal cellular differentiation and development of multicellular organisms. Apoptosis is induced by certain cytokines including TNF and Fas ligand of the TNF family through their death domain containing receptors, TNFR1 and Fas. \nDR3 is a cell surface receptor with a death domain, with functional similarities to TNFR1 and Fas (CD95). The receptor for DR3 has very recently been identified and has been termed Apo-3L. DR3 itself has also been called Wsl-1, Apo-3, TRAMP and LARD, a functionally induces apoptosis and NF-KB activation.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nWestern Blot: 1-5ug/ml. Detects a band at ~59kD when using total cell lysate from Jurkat celss under denturing and reducing conditions.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
