Apoptosis can be induced by certain cytokines including TNF and Fas Ligand of the TNF super-family through their death domain (DD) containing receptors, TNFR1 and Fas. A member of the TNF receptor family was recently identified and designated DR4 (death receptor 4) and TRAIL-R1. The ligand for this novel death receptor has been identified and termed TRAIL. DR4 is expressed in most of the human tissues including spleen, peripheral blood leukocytes (PBLs), small intestine and thymus. Like TNFR1, Fas and DR3, DR4 mediates apoptosis and NFkB activation in many tissues and cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunofluorescence. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5-4 ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control Peptide: D9300-35B1 Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
