DTNBP1, NT (DTNBP1, Dysbindin, Dysbindin-1, Dystrobrevin-binding protein 1, Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome 7 protein) (PE)

This gene encodes a protein that may play a role in organelle biogenesis associated with melanosomes, platelet dense granules, and lysosomes. A similar protein in mouse is a component of a protein complex termed biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles complex 1 (BLOC-1), and binds to alpha- and beta-dystrobrevins, which are components of the dystrophin-associated protein complex (DPC). Mutations in this gene are associated with Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome type 7. This gene may also be associated with schizophrenia. Multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: 1:1,000\nWestern Blot: 1:100-500\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Do not freeze R-Phycoerythrin conjugates. Light sensitive. Aliquots are stable for 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
