Herpes Simplex Virus Type-1 (HSV-1) is an enveloped, dsDNA virus which can be used as an oncolytic virus against a number of tumor types. In this virus, the nucleotide sequence of both luciferase and GFP were engineered into the HSV-1 genome. This virus can be used for in vitro cancer cell killing assays or in vivo animal cancer treatment tests.
