DUOX1 (Dual Oxidase 1, Large NOX 1, Long NOX 1, NADPH Thyroid Oxidase 1, Thyroid Oxidase 1, DUOX, LNOX1, THOX1)

The protein encoded by this gene is a glycoprotein and a member of the NADPH oxidase family. The synthesis of thyroid hormone is catalyzed by a protein complex located at the apical membrane of thyroid follicular cells. This complex contains an iodide transporter, thyroperoxidase, and a peroxide generating system that includes this encoded protein and DUOX2. This protein is known as dual oxidase because it has both a peroxidase homology domain and a gp91phox domain. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described for this gene.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: 1:32,000\nImmunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 4-6ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
