DYRK1A (Dual Specificity Tyrosine-phosphorylation-regulated Kinase 1A, Protein Kinase Minibrain Homolog, MNBH, HP86, Dual Specificity YAK1-related Kinase, hMNB, DYRK, MNB, MNBH)

DYRK1A is a member of the dual-specificity tyrosine phosphorylation-regulated kinase (DYRK) family and is thought to be involved in neuronal differentiation, neurodegenerative diseases, and is considered to be a strong candidate gene for learning defects associated with Down syndrome. DYRK1A phosphorylates several transcription factors such as p53, leading to inhibition of embryonic neuronal cell proliferation. DYRK1A associates with multiple proteins, including SPRED1 and SPRED2; this association appears to inhibit the phosphorylation activity of DYRK1A. Recent evidence also suggests that DYRK1A may be involved in the replication of HIV-1.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1-2ug/ml\nImmunocytochemistry: 10ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nHeLa Cell Lysate\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
