E2F1 can also mediate p53-dependent and independent apoptosis, and phosphorylation of E2F1 at serine 364 results in its stabilisation and apoptosis induction. E2F1 is a target of the transforming proteins of small DNA tumor viruses and increased expression of this protein has been reported in a variety of cancers. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (paraffin), and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 2-20ug/ml ELISA: 1:10,000-1:60,000 Western Blot: 1:150-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
