The Eph family of receptors is the largest known subfamily of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTK).
Eph RTKs and their ligands, the ephrins, are frequently overexpressed in a variety of cancers and tumor cell lines. One Eph family member, EphA2, is also overexpressed in a wide variety of cancers, including breast, small-cell lung and gastrointestinal cancers, melanomas, and neuroblastomas. The ephrin-Eph interactions are important in development, especially in cell-cell interactions involved in nervous system patterning and possibly in cancer.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:500-2,000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma:
F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
