Edinburgh Minimal Media is a thiamine-free formulation for nmt1 promoter studies for Schizosaccharomyces pombe. Phosphate Free formulation is used for 32P-phosphate labeling. Sodium phosphate is removed and replaced with potassium hydrogen phthalate with 2g/L sodium acetate (14.6mM). The medium is adjusted to pH 5.5.
