Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is a tyrosine protein kinase comprised of two different components of different molecular weights. Both components contain phosphotyrosine and phosphothreonine but only the higher molecular weight component contains phosphoserine. EGFR signaling involves small GTPases of the Rho family and EGFR trafficking involves small GTPases of the Rab family. EGFR expression is widespread in both normal and cancerous tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded): 5ug/ml Immunocytochemistry: Immunoprecipitation: 10-12ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
