EIF3C is a 913aa containing RNA associated protein that binds to the 40S ribosomal unit and promotes and stabilizes the binding of methionyl-tRNAi and mRNA and is thus an important protein involved in protein synthesis. EIF3C, a member of the EIF-3 subunit C family with a PCI domain, is a component of the EIF3 multiprotein complex composed of at least 13 different subunits and is known to interact with EIF3K. EIF3C and EIF3CL are found in a head-to-tail orientation on slightly different chromosomal localizations and separated by a few genes. Ubiquitous expression is seen in most of the tissues.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:100-1:1000
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
