The ectoderm-neural cortex-1 (ENC-1) protein is an early and highly specific marker of neural induction in vertebrates. It is a kelch family related protein that functions as an actin-binding protein and has been suggested to be involved in the organization of the actin cytoskeleton during neural fate specification and development of the nervous system. ENC-1 has also been shown to be required for adipocyte differentiation when cytoskeletal reorganization and cell shape change from fibroblastic preadipocytes to spherical adipocytes occur.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nMouse Kidney Tissue Lysate\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
